Egyptian LNG (ELNG) has chosen Cenosco’s advanced asset integrity management software, IMS Pressure Equipment Integrity (IMS PEI), to further elevate its Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) processes.
This strategic move reflects ELNG’s dedication to maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence, safety, and efficiency at their LNG plant, which boasts a total production capacity of 7.2 mtpa across two identical trains commissioned in 2005.
By implementing IMS PEI, ELNG will enhance its already robust inspection and maintenance strategies with a dynamic, semi-quantitative risk assessment model. This software enables real-time updates to risk rankings and inspection plans, ensuring that resources are effectively allocated to critical components. The impact of this software adoption significantly optimizes ELNG’s inspection processes by focusing on high-priority assets, leading to a substantial enhancement in plant safety and reliability.
ELNG’s decision to integrate IMS PEI follows a comprehensive RBI reassessment and corrosion study conducted by Petronas GTS in 2021. This study updated the inspection plans and risk rankings for all static equipment and piping systems, laying the groundwork for implementing Cenosco’s advanced software.
Integrations for Egyptian LNG
The seamless integration of IMS PEI with ELNG’s Oracle CMMS system will consolidate their data, improving data accuracy and accessibility. This transformation will empower improved decision-making and simplify compliance reporting.
The robust capabilities of IMS PEI in managing complex RBI processes and its seamless integration with ELNG existing systems were key factors in the decision. No doubt this implementation will yield significant benefits in safety, asset availability, and inspection resource optimization.
